Vintage Collingwoods 21 Piece Fine Bone China Tea Set

A charming English fine bone china tea set, manufactured in circa 1937 by Collingwood Bros (Ltd), Crown Works, Staffordshire Potteries, England.  The tea set comprises of six teacups, six saucers, six tea plates, sugar bowl, milk jug and large cake/serving plate.  The set is decorated in crisp white and apple green colours, with garlands of pretty hand painted peonies and blue forget me nots.  The rims are gilded and very gently scalloped, with the gilding extending to the looped handles and footed bases.  There are gold accented  bands around the body of the teacups and the centre of the plates.  The milk jug  has an elegant elongated pointed handle, both the milk jug and sugar bowl are good sized.

Condition: In excellent condition throughout with nice bright colours and intact gilding.  This beautiful tea set has been kept in a display cabinet and looks unused.
