Vintage Hand Painted Tuscan China 15 Piece Tea Set

A pretty 15 piece vintage English hand painted tea set comprising of 4 teacups 4 saucers, 4  tea plates, 1 cake/sandwich serving plate, milk jug and sugar bowl. 

This delightful set was manufactured  by R.H & S.L Plant Ltd,  Tuscan Works,  Staffordshire Potteries, England.  in circa 1936.   Each piece is skillfully decorated with hand painted forget-me-nots with tiny raised enameled red in the centre of each flower.  The rims are beautifully gilded and gently scalloped.  The teacups are footed with gilding detail at the base and extending to the looped handle.  The cake/sandwich serving plate is a good size with moulded side handles and raised floral motifs.

Condition: In excellent condition throughout.  One of the teacups has some crazing over the body (see photo).       It is a a 87 year old set and looks new.

Back stamp shows  the Plant Tuscan China  green trade mark - Made in England
