Shelley Powder Pink Creamer
Shelley Powder Pink Creamer
This rare Late Foley (Shelley) creamer is a fine example of the quality of fine bone china and craftsmanship by maker, Wileman & Co, Foley Potteries, and Foley China Works, Fenton, Longton, England. Dating to circa 1911, this antique creamer is a true find. Its body is decorated in a powder pink which is so on trend these days and tiny jewel like patterns of gold diamond shapes and tiny enameled central dots encircle the upper part of the creamer. Tiny gold patterns line the scalloped rim, creating a rich and exuberant look. The handle is beautifully knotted and is enhanced with gilded lines that end in a floral design where it meets the body. Painstakingly painted sweet miniature roses and forget me nots decorate the upper part of the body which contrasts well against the white background. The creamer sits elegantly on a footed base.
DIMENSIONS: Height from handle to base 9.5cm x Diameter from tip of spout to handle 13cm Pattern No 8982
