Mikado Aynsley Teacup, Saucer and Tea Plate Trio

A striking vintage teacup, saucer and tea plate trio, manufactured in circa 1930's by John Aynsley & Sons (Ltd), Portland Works, Longton, England.  The trio is decorated with colourful little paraquets flying amongst vibrant oriental florals which are entwined in between bamboo lattice work.  The pedestal base of the teacup is hand finished in an apple green which contrasts well against the crisp white background.  All the rims are gently scalloped and are beautifully gilded.  The  rims are decorated in classic swirl and dot patterns in beige and bold black.
