Hammersley Vintage Trinket Egg

A delightful vintage bone china trinket egg, manufactured by Hammersley & Co, Alsager Pottery, Longton, Stafford Potteries, England.  The pattern is called Victorian Violets from England's Countryside. Pretty violets adorn the top and bottom half of the egg, with a central gilded band that rounds around the entire body.  The top of the egg lifts off. and inside the upper part is little dainty violets motif.   A very nice item for a dressing table to store small precious jewellry items.
