Antique Victorian Hand Painted Oval Compote

A beautiful Victorian oval shaped compote, dating to circa 1880.  Decorated in a rich peach colour with a central  pretty hand painted English garden floral motif.  The compote sits elegantly on a low scalloped foot.  The rim is gently scalloped with raised shell shapes and swirls.  The compote is a good weight and is made of porcelain.

Conditions: The compote is over 140 years old and is In very good condition.  There is some noticeable rub to the gilding around the rim and on the central gilt pattern of the compote.  There are some firing spots and cutlery scratches which are normal and commensurate with older pieces.
