This chinoiserie influenced teapot was manufacture in circa 1913, by New Chelsea Porcelain Co (Ltd), Longton, England. The teapot is a good size and can hold approximately 4 - 5 cups of tea. The body is an ivory colour and is decorated with hand painted colourful oriental birds sitting on branches. The lid is decorated with little green leaves with a rounded gilded finial.

Condition: in very good antique condition. There is a fair amount of rubbing to the gilding along the teapot handle, spout and finial. There is also some gilding rub to the rim of the teapot. There is a darkened small crack inside the teapot at the point at the handle base. (The teapot has been tested for any leaks and there are none). The colours are nice and bright.
