Fragonard Style Vintage Decorative Plate

A delightful original vintage 1930's Fragonard inspired courting couples decorative plate, depicting 18th century scenes of a musician playing enchanting music as couples stroll through estate gardens.  

These scenes are done by transfer print and  were inspired by the work of the artist Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806), a French painter of Rococo style.  This beautiful plate was manufactured by Frank Buckley Production, England.

Diameter: 28cm

Condition:  The colours are nice and bright.  There is extensive visible crazing all over the plate and the glazing has become slightly worn/bubbled in a small area.  These characteristics are normal for older pieces.
